Remodel Wiring

Basements, attics, kitchens and additions wired to pass inspection before the walls close.

The short answer

Wired before the walls close

Remodel wiring adds and updates the circuits, outlets and lighting a renovated space needs, wired to the 2023 National Electrical Code that New Hampshire enforces. We work to your contractor's schedule and pass the rough and final inspections.

The best time to get the wiring right is while the walls are open. We plan outlets, lighting and dedicated circuits with you, run them cleanly, and build in the protection New Hampshire's code asks for when circuits are modified, such as arc-fault protection, so the rough inspection passes and the drywall goes up on schedule.

  1. Walk the space

We go through the plan with you and mark where everything goes.

  2. Rough in

New circuits are run and the rough inspection is passed before the walls close.

  3. Finish and inspect

Devices and fixtures go in and the final inspection is passed.

One electrician from start to finish

The electrician who plans it is the one who wires it

Faith Electric is owner-run, so the licensed Master Electrician who walks the space with you is the one who wires it and stands behind it.

Questions

Remodel Wiring: questions homeowners ask

Request an estimate
Does a finished basement need an electrical permit?

Yes. New circuits and wiring in a finished space need an electrical permit and inspection. We pull it and schedule both the rough and final inspections.

Can you work with my general contractor?

Yes. We fit the rough-in to your contractor's schedule so it is done and inspected before the walls close.

Do remodeled circuits need arc-fault protection?

Yes. When branch-circuit wiring is modified, replaced or extended, New Hampshire's edition of the code requires arc-fault protection, with a short exception for small extensions. We plan it in from the start.

Will my panel have room for the new circuits?

We check before work starts. If the panel is full or undersized, we explain the options and price them in writing.

Request an estimate for remodel wiring

Tell us about the job and we reply the same business day. We set a time to look at it, you get a written estimate before any work starts, and the work starts only when you say go.
