Service Calls and Troubleshooting
Tripping breakers, dead outlets and flickering lights, traced to the cause and fixed.
Power out in part of the house, or an outlet that smells hot? Call (603) 782-1478.
The short answer
Finding the cause, not just the symptom
A service call finds and fixes an electrical problem in your home, from a breaker that keeps tripping to an outlet that stopped working. We explain what we found in plain words and give you the price before the repair.
A tripping breaker or a flickering light is a symptom. We trace it back to the cause, whether that is an overloaded circuit, a loose connection or a failing device, then tell you what we found and what it takes to fix it before any repair starts.

When to call
Small problems are easier to fix early
A warm outlet, a buzzing switch or a breaker that trips now and then rarely fixes itself. Send us the details and we will tell you whether it needs a visit.

What should I do about an outlet that smells hot, or power out in part of the house?
Treat it as urgent. Switch off the breaker for that outlet and stop using it. If you see smoke or scorch marks, or the burning smell is getting stronger, get everyone out and call 911. If part of the house lost power after a storm, the fault can be on the utility side, so report it to Eversource too. Then call or text us at (603) 782-1478.
Why does a breaker keep tripping?
Usually an overloaded circuit, a short or a ground fault, and sometimes a worn-out breaker. It is a warning worth taking seriously, and we find which one it is.
Are flickering lights dangerous?
Sometimes it is just a loose bulb, but flickering across several rooms can point to a loose connection. If it happens often, have it looked at.
An outlet stopped working. What should I check first?
Look for a tripped breaker in the panel and press the reset button on any nearby ground-fault (GFCI) outlet, since one can protect several others. If it is still dead, call us.
Do you take small jobs?
Yes. A single outlet, a switch or a fixture is welcome work.
